Terms & Conditions

– Any rates given by your organisation to Carroll Estimating or vice versa will be treated with strict confidentiality.


– We shall exercise reasonable skill, care and diligence in the performance of the services.


– We undertake to maintain Professional Indemnity in respect of the Services, provided that such insurance remains available to us from reputable companies based in Ireland at commercially reasonable rates.


– We undertake to maintain registration under the title of “Quantity Surveyor” in accordance with Section 33(6) of the Building Control Act 2007, the register for which is maintained by The Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland.


– Carroll Estimating is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB).


– We shall carry out the services within the tender time available. We shall use reasonable endeavours to comply with any agreed programme.


– This agreement is personal to the client and non-assignable and we do not accept liability to any third party in contract, in tort or otherwise.


– These terms and conditions represent the total agreement between us in relation to the Services.


– Nothing in this agreement confers or purports to confer on a third party any benefit or any right to enforce the terms of this agreement.


– We accept no liability in respect of economic or consequential loss.


– Acceptance of this fee proposal will be conveyed by the client in writing, preferably by email.


– Our fee structure is dependent on the nature and manner of the project. Any change in the brief will incur a review of the fees. 


– Any works outside the scope of appointment will not be undertaken without your instruction or approval and we would review our fee accordingly for these works.


– Fixed Fee – A fixed fee for work to be undertaken by Carroll Estimating may be negotiated on certain projects. However, in the case of fixed agreed fees, where a project is stopped, Carroll Estimating reserve the right to invoice based on time spent.


– VAT at the current rate of 23% will be charged on all fees. Any future statutory changes to the VAT rate will be accounted for at the appropriate time.


– Payment of accounts .


– Irish law will form the basis of this contract.


– Fee proposal’s will be valid for one month from date of issue.


– No cancellation of the contract will be accepted unless expressly agreed in writing by Carroll Estimating.


– site visit to be confirmed by client.
